mid September Next 5 Minutes revolves around the notion of tactical media, the fusion of art, politics and media. Hosted irregularly in Amsterdam, when the urgency is felt to bring a new edition of the festival together. The last two were in 1999 and 2003.

Intro They run regular festivals in music, sound, and residency-research projects for sound artists from around the world. The focus is on experimentation and the combination of various discipline. Most of the information on the website is in Dutch.
De belangrijkste doelstelling van Intro/In Situ is kunstenaars (nationaal en internationaal) in de gelegenheid stellen hun ideeën te verwezenlijken zonder dat er al te veel sturend wordt opgetreden.
Doel is het scheppen van gecomponeerde 'klanklandschappen' in specifieke omgevingsruimten waarbij componisten, klankkunstenaars, sculpturisten en andere kunstenaars de mogelijkheid wordt geboden tot het maken en exposeren van 'klankbeelden' of presentaties middels performances.
