The Tablet of Fu'ád, was revealed in 1869, soon after the premature death in Nice, France, of Fu'ád Pasha, the foreign minister of the Sultan and a faithful accomplice of the Prime Minister in bringing about the exile of Bahá'u'lláh to 'Akká. It was revealed in honour of one of Bahá'u'lláh's most devoted apostles, Shaykh Káẓim-i-Samandar (father of the late Hand of the Cause of God Ṭaráẓu'lláh Samandarí). The Tablet contains a clear prediction of the downfall of 'Álí Páshá and of the Sultan himself.
