Abstract A British writer and archeologist, Bell traveled throughout the Middle East from 1899-1926. During this time she made several trips to Haifa and Akka, meeting Abdu'l-Bahá, and entering the Shrine of Bahá'u'lláh. She also took a number of photos of Akka.
