Abstract: This presentation draws on a comprehensive survey of the authoritative writings of the Bahá’í Faith to clarify its position on intellectual activity and the pursuit of secular and spiritual education. The parameters pertaining to Bahá’í scholarship are examined, and a number of possible pitfalls discussed.
