abstract | Relates various teachings as prerequisites to world peace: universal education; regarding one another as ‘the fruits of one tree and the leaves of one branch’; reward and punishment as pillars of world stability; rulers acting with justice and wisdom; the gathering of the nations to lay the foundations of the ‘Lesser Peace’; the adoption of a universal language and script; affirming that ‘the earth is but one country, and mankind its citizens’; not allowing religion to become the source of disunity; taking counsel together in all matters; promoting useful branches of knowledge; exercising moderation in all things; inculcating tolerance and righteousness; and having due regard for the power of human utterance, in particular the Word of God, which is the ‘master key for the whole world’. |
