O Salman! Pass through the realm of being and existence with holy breezes from the City of the Spirit, wafting with the fragrances of the All-Merciful [3.5s]... ...O Salmán! Say: O people! Tread ye in the path of the one true God and ponder the ways and words of Him Who is the Manifestation... |
abstract | Laments the opposition of Mírzá Yaḥyá; contrasts the stations of belief and disbelief; considers and rejects various theories of the mystics concerning the relationship between God and creation; asserts that, the Godhead itself being unknowable, the means of access to the knowledge of God is through the channel of His prophets; and interprets a line of Rumi’s Mathnaví to the effect that the light of truth is one but that, cast through the glass of different souls, it takes on different tints and colours, which is both the cause of the denial of the religion of God and the source of conflict upon earth. |
