It is certainly a handy resource for those interested to learn about the Báb’s teachings in a structured and easy to follow arrangement of topics. “The Dispensation of the Báb” draws abundantly upon His words while simultaneously provides space for the reader to delve into His writings. Throughout the analysis, connections are made to New and Old Testament themes to engage readers from a Western background.
The book reviews the teachings of the Báb about the nature of God and His prophets as well as the reasons which prompted the peoples to reject their doctrines throughout history. The book also explores the purpose of His revelation and His summons to the kings and to the world. The book also deals with the continuity between the teachings of the Báb and the teachings of Bahá’u’lláh from a doctrinal and legislative perspective, emphasising the Figure of He Whom God shall make manifest. The fundamentals of the Revelation of the Báb are examined through His own writings as well as from the elucidations by Bahá’u’lláh, ‘Abdu’l-Bahá and Shoghi Effendi. An extensive list of moral and spiritual concepts are presented as unique jewels from the Báb’s moral and mystical literature.
