Bahá'í Stamps

• The Shrine of the Bab is seen in the centre of Haifa's stamp (see opposite for an enlargement).
• This stamp was printed with decorative marginal tabs.
• Each printed sheet of stamp has one stamp with a serial number printed on its marginal tab. Block of stamps with the plate serial numbers are called Plate Blocks

• This stamp is a part of the Israel Landscapes set issued 1971-75.
• There are also two stamps in the set which feature Akka and Akka's Aqueduct. The 0.88 and 1.10 denominations.
• This stamp was printed with decorative marginal tabs (see the image).
• It seems that this set is continuously getting newer addition. A new stamp showing Akko's clock tower was recently released.

• This is part of a set of 4 stamps (Panama Scott # 634-637).

No Catalogue Numbers for the Overprints

• Guyana regularly releases their existing stamps with overprint. This is a series of 4 orchid stamps overprinted with Baha'i Holy Year 1992

• As this set is not listed in the Scott catalogue it is very hard to find.
• The four original orchid stamps (without the overprint) issued July 9, 1985 - Scott for these are 1022, 1033, 1045 & 1061.

• This stamp was printed with decorative marginal tabs (see the image)

•  The First Day Cover shows April 7, 1993 but Scott says it was released in "May 1993"

• This stamp was issued for vending machines with different values
• Motif is based on Beckman’s watercolour paintings of Haifa
• These are also printed on different paper and there are slight variation, some of which are very rare.
• Recently Akka has also been added to the Klussendorfs series

• This a personalised stamp, where you send your own photo and Australia Post prints it on the sheet of stamps in tabs between stamps.

• It was NOT available from post offices. They were specifically ordered by the Regional Teaching Committee of Metro Sydney. The image of temple is printed on the tab between the stamps.
• The actual stamp features a hologram showing "1999" which changes to "2000" along with some fireworks.
• The stamps were mainly used during the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
• There is no first day cover for this stamp.
• This stamp was produced in very limited numbers.

• This stamp is printed in sheets of 10 with decorative bottom marginal tabs.
• A souvenir leaf was printed in seven languages exclusively for the Baha'i World Centre. They were not publicly available. Some have leaked in the market and being sold at very expensive prices.

• The only known copies of the First Day Cover for this issue look very dubious (here is an image of it - the image shows one signed by the Baha’i designer Randall) - The entire cover seems to have been printed with an inkjet printer, including what resembles the postal cancellation, which is not an impression of a rubber stamp at all! (My view is that it is either a forgery or someone has tried to improvise).
