1. Author — search by name

  • Searches match any part of a name: searching for Khan will also return Khanum or p smith will return "Peter Smith".
  • The search engine searches for variant spellings too, so Abdu'l-Baha and Abdul-Baha and Abdu'l-Bahá return the same result.

2. Title — search by keyword

  • Try searching with and without apostophes: Bahai and Baha'i return different results.
  • Our database has separate fields for Title and Subtitle. E.g., High Endeavors: Letters to Alaska
    will only show if you query High Endeavors or Letters to Alaska.

3. Date — search by year

 
  • Enter a 3-digit year, like "191", to see all the publications from one decade.
  • Enter a 4-digit year, like "1910", to see just the publications from one year.

4. Tags — search Tags

  • search for parts of tags or alterate spellings
  • 2 characters minimum, parts separated by spaces
  • multiple keywords allowed, e.g. "Madrid Paris Seattle"
