The Chosen Highway was first published in 1940 and reprinted many times subsequent. It includes many invaluable histories delivered orally to the author. William Collins describes it thus: "This chronicle of some aspects of the lives of Baha'u'llah, the Bab, and 'Abud'l-Baha relies heavily on testimonies of sources closely aquainted with the subjects: Bahiyyih Khanum, daughter of Baha'u'llah; Munirih Khanum, wife of 'Abdu'l-Baha; Tuba Khanum, daughter of 'Abdu'l-Baha; other early believers; and the author herself, who accompanied 'Abdu'l- Baha during his sojourn in Britain."
