Shin Yong-Gu graduated from the Academy of Visual Arts in Seoul in 199? and since then has developed performance works around a theme related to the the natural world. Each theme is also a development from the previous one, such as his current theme: "The Butterfly" which he has been developing and performing since 200?. This developed from his 200 - 2005 series of performances on the theme of "The Flower". He also make videos which combine music with footage from his dance-like performances. He regularly performs in arts and culture festivals in Europe and Asia.
