Istvan's first and best disciple, a veritable child prodigy at six, and a mature virtuoso now at 24, difficult to rival in the breadth and depth of drumming styles he has mastered, from Afro-Colombian folklore to Spanish flamenco, from Afro Cuban sacred drums to African dyembé, from classical percussion to jazz and rock, salsa and hip hop Cofounder of the Millero Congo group of his father, teacher and later academic director of his father's drumming school, musical producer of his mother Leonor's two albums, presently he is the percussionist of Grammy Award winner Colombian superstar Carlos Vives' band, an increasingly sought-after session musician in Los Angeles (recorded on Carlos Santana's latest album, Shaman) and preparing his first solo album with his own music, Cumbia Brava, for KC Porter's Worldbeat productions.
